Team Recoat took to the cold October streets of Inverness for Transart, a project curated by IOTA where 5 cars were completely transformed into works of art. Black Isle based artists Erlend & Pamela Tait and designer Jennifer Cantwell were part of the creative team that came together for this highly popular public event.
The artists were invited to lead a series of artists' talks and workshops over the two-day event.
Commissioned and managed permanent, as well as temporary work including The Conch Sound Studio by Walker and Bromwich, a touring soundwork and vessel for conversation that was launched at Scotland Housing Expo in 2011 before touring extensively collecting voices en route, finally resting at Jupiter Artland as part of the Edinburgh Art Festival.

The unknown couple are standing on the stones & behind them you can see a little bit of the text which reads "Open-Heartedness." These threes stone outcrops represent three virtues for the city and were designed by Lead Artist, Matt Baker as part of a programme of commissions for the Streetscape to create a series of new public spaces. These images show how positively people have reacted to the new areas.
